Tax-Deductible Donations
Looking for a place to give your tax-deductible donation? There are many opportunities for giving or sponsorship to help maintain our facilities and services at the Brookings Public Library. Your financial donation will help enhance library collections, support programs for all ages, upgrade computers and other equipment and much more. Any gift is appreciated, and no amount is too small! In Memory Donations
Remember a loved one by designating your donation to purchase books, audiobooks, DVDs, or other items in our collection, in honor or in memory of someone special. Books purchased with donation money can include a bookplate recognizing your donation.

Wills and Estate Planning
You can also create a lasting legacy by naming the Library in your will or estate plan. For more information on donating to the Library, please see the Gifts Policy in our Policy Manual. Please contact Library Director Ashia Gustafson with questions about financial donations.

Item Donations
Clean and gently used books are accepted throughout the year for the Friends of the Brookings Public Library Bi-annual Book Sale. Please drop off donations at the Circulation Desk in boxes, bags, or totes that you do not need returned to you.

Magazines (only from the last year)

Items NOT Accepted

Damaged books (i.e. mildew, dusty, damp, marked-up)
Encyclopedias
Business Books 5 years or older
Textbooks
Catalogs
Phonograph Records
Audio Cassettes
VHS Videos
