Mystery Author C. M. Wendelboe

Come hear Wyoming mystery author, C. M. WENDELBOE talk about his novels at the Brookings Public Library on Monday, July 29 at 6:30 pm.

Wendelboe, a retired lawman, has written three mysteries in the SPIRIT ROAD series featuring FBI agent Manny Tanno. Tanno reluctantly returns to the Pine Ridge Reservation after 18 years to solve a murder and then takes a permanent assignment in the FBI’s Rapid City field office.

Wendelboe has an appreciation of Native culture and spirituality. His awareness of their diverse perspectives on historical and contemporary issues is reflected in the themes of the Spirit Road mysteries.

The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase.

 

 

Author Danielle Sosin

Danielle Sosin, author of The Long-shining Waters, will speak at the Library on Wednesday, July 24 at 7 pm.  The book was chosen as the South Dakota Humanities Council’s 2013 One Book South Dakota selection.

Sosin’s book follows three women through the changing seasons of a pivotal year in their lives. Their lives are separated by centuries but linked by their common experience of living on the shores of Lake Superior.

This program is made possible through a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
