The Brookings Public Library has launched its annual search for scary stories and anyone from kindergarten through adults may submit a story for this contest. There is a limit of one entry per person and a 1000 word limit.

Entries must be submitted to the Library by October 4.  The entries will then be judged and a   spooky event will be held in the Library on October 25 at 7 pm to announce the winners and read selected stories.

Be creative and join in the fun.
